I want to say what an enormous hope it is to have a change in the personalities and energies at number 10. This is something that the British public - and the global community at large have been waiting for. As a British citizen currently living in the US, I take this shift as an important opportunity for major change. I would like to see Britain taking the lead on the foreign affairs issues affecting the whole world at this time, rethink the nature of their relationship with the US and make new positive headway on issues of terrorism and climate change. I would like to see this change happen through courageous, positive action where the focus is on peace, and a turnaround in the way we as mankind work towards this goal. I would like to see an end to the climate of fear, propaganda and control. Thank you.

It is great that you are able to recognize the enormous impact of a global community such as Avaaz, and unsurprised that you find yourself unable to ignore it. How do you intend to harmonize the demands of the global community with the demands of the world leadership elite, and what do you see as the possible outcome were the world leadership to ignore this growing force?

It is a video well worth watching. Having just watched Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth I can’t help thinking that there are quite a few Inconvenient Truths floating around.

I get the feeling at times that America has created the perfect environment for a true fascism. The comforts are provided for the people in such a way that it is hard to have rebellious thoughts, take rebellious actions, because that could endanger our quality of life. In fact, I am afraid to act funny while walking down the street in fear of arrest to be quite honest. With the Bush regime in place and the war moving full tilt, while we blindly watch the Super Bowl, drive our SUVs and celebrate the beautiful New Year, it is almost impossible for the average American to even begin to comprehend the reality that in some places you risk death daily just by walking outside.

And so, the news begins to look like the movies (or for that matter the cartoons, as they seem to be just as violent these days) and we move even further into a sterile world where reality is what is fed to us, and we take prescription mind killers to deal with the fact that deep down inside we know something is wrong but we simply can’t figure out what. And the fascism of comfort, of wealth, of absolute loss of our individual control to a group trance state - the American Dream - begins to seep in.

If you are faced with a decision and you are not sure what to do, one of the easiest ways to see which path to take is to listen with your heart. How do you do this? It is quite simple, actually. First, take a minute to focus on your heart in it’s physical location in the upper left portion of your chest. Notice how it feels - does it feel tense? Uneasy? Joyful and open? This is both a physical and emotional sensation, but because emotions are open to broad interpretation, it is often easier to notice the physical state of your heart.

Then, ask a question of yourself (or, if you are in conversation, simply activate your heart as a listener and see what comes). When the question is posed, try to shift your consciousness into your heart and to listen from there. Sometimes I visualize that my head doubles and shrinks a little and moves down and to the left into my heart, and I then see and hear using that head - it is a silly visualization, but until you are used to hearing from your heart it can be helpful in establishing the feeling you are looking for. Sometimes it is easy to visualize the sound of someone’s voice funneling into your heart instead of your ears as well, or the question that you are posing coming into your body through your heart.

Once you are listening from your heart, again notice how it feels. Generally, if you are thinking of doing something that is against the deepest desires and alignment of yourself with your path and purpose, your heart will feel tense and uneasy. But, even if you are considering doing something that terrifies you and that your conscious mind is telling you a bad idea - this can often just be a manifestation of fear, and your heart will generally feel open and comfortable when you are considering the option, especially if it aligns with your life goals.

Don’t be decieved by how easy this sounds - it is one of the quickest and easiest ways to tap into your natural intuition and let, as they say, your heart guide you.

I was then supposed to list a couple of things that would signify that I knew this had happened in my life. My list?

1. I will be having amazing sex regularly, and it will be continuously getting better.

2. I will feel totally spiritually at home with my partner.

3. My partner and I will be open to the world about our love for each other.

4. I will feel so secure with my partner that my thoughts will be moving towards family.

Then, I was asked to describe how this felt to me in detail…

“I come home to a woman who is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and who deeply desires me as I deeply desire her. We have fun together and play together and love to care for and support each other. We enjoy each other on every level, and love to be physically intimate. Our sexual experiences are transcendental, and we both feel that our union serves a higher purpose - for raising the beauty and love in the universe - and we work together to take our passion for each other and turn it into a positive force in the world.”

The way of sorting out your passions in The Passion Test is to compare them side by side, and if you could only choose one of the two, pick that one. And then go down your whole list.

I was flat out surprised to be honest that in doing this, my TOP PASSION in life is Sex. I mean, I knew that I loved it, but when it came down to it, this won out over Making a Positive Impact In the World and Being a Rockstar!!
